Barangay Profile

Barangay Fort Bonifacio (BFB) is considered a newly created barangay of the City of Taguig by virtue of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Ordinance No. 68 Series of 2008. Along with Barangay Pinagsama, BFB was once part of Barangay Western Bicutan (which was retained as the mother barangay). It started to function on April 04, 2009 under the following first appointed barangay officials: Armando S. Lopez as Barangay Chairman, with Nicasio T. Asyao, Henry S. Estribello, Benigno Z. Marasigan, Wilfredo S. Sayson, Christian L. Tinga, and Lysandre T. Vertulfo as Barangay Kagawads.
 The First Barangay and SK Election was held on October 25, 2010, and the first set of elected officials took office on December 1, 2010. The newly elected officials were led by Barangay Chairman “Direk” Lino S. Cayetano. Direk Lino was able to establish several projects and programs that had a significant impact on the Barangay. Under his term, he was able to build the Barangay Hall, the Lupon office, daycare centers, the health center in Sitio 3, and the multi-awarded Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) along Pasong Tamo Extension. Previous Barangay Chairmen who also took the helm of Fort Bonifacio were Wilfredo Sayson and Alan Oliman.
